Sunshine and Strings (closed)

"I'm a Freshman here, this is my first year." She smiled and ran her fingers through her hair, brushing her black hair over one shoulder. "What about you? I know this is probably your first year, but how old are you?"

"Eve and I are both seventeen. We're twins."

Mollie smiled. "Oh, so you two are very close."

She blushed a bit and looked at Liam. "Please tell me if I'm speaking out of turn. . .but is it odd for Eve to be sharing your mind? Does she miss having her own body?"

Liam laughed. "'Odd' doesn't begin to cover it. And she misses having her body more than anything. I'm just glad she does have that link to my senses, you know? Better to live vicariously through me than to be stuck with nothing. She doesn't have access to my thoughts, though. It gets odd when we have conversations and I have to either talk under my breath or write down my words so she can read them."

"Oh, Yeah. I can see how that would get difficult. But that would be a good way to keep a diary though. And I'm glad that Eve can still be included in converstations. Does she play music too?"

"Aye. When she had a body, at least. She played the harp." He smiled wistfully. "We used to play duets all the time. We both sing, too."

Mollie smiled softly and ran her fingers along the collar of her shirt. "I bet it was beautiful. I would love to hear you both once they find a way to get Eve in a body of her own."

She turned to face Liam and hesitantly reached out and touched his arm. "I feel like I can only give you words of comfort. I'm sorry that I can't do more to help, that I can't see Eve's aura on her own."

Liam nodded. "If we get her a new body, that'll definitely happen. And don't worry too much about it... we'll figure it out somehow. At least you can see something about her. That's more than a lot of the people here."
